Preschool Early Literacy Indicators (PELI) is a story-book based literacy assessment for preschoolers, currently in development by the Dynamic Measurment Group (DMG). Tuscola ISD is a 2016-17 research partner with DMG and TISD itinerant staff support the use of the PELI in several preschool programs around the county. The PELI is used as a universal screener and progress monitoring tool for Alphabet Knowledge, Vocabulary and Oral Language, Comprehension and Phonemic Awareness.
